C-scanner (archived)

C-scanner was a tool to check compliance rules against cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and more. The source code is available on GitHub.

The goal for this project was to detect unintentional misconfiguration in a cloud environment, such as accidentally open ports in security groups, object storage buckets or objects that had permissions that are too wide open, etc.

It was discontinued in 2020 because creating this tool required owning, paying and managing accounts with each and every cloud provider that the project intended to support.
